Villino Lentini

The Lentini villa, built around 1910 by Ernesto Basile, saw the intervention, regarding the Art Nouveau pictorial decorations of the walls, by the painter Rocco Lentini, owner of the villa.

On the high plinth painted with fake courses of red bricks, the painter created a blue stringcourse with flame-shaped floral elements; the fake bricks continue upwards to define the edges of the building and surround the straight openings.

In the fields, yellow-gold discs are painted on stylized shoots. Under the roof runs a blue band with circles, in which plant elements connected by ocher ribbons are inscribed; the design in the cusp of the short front on the street is more complex.”

Since 2020 the villa has been transformed into an accommodation facility.

Sull’alto zoccolo dipinto a finti ricorsi di mattoni rossi, il pittore realizzò una fascia marcapiano azzurra con elementi floreali a fiamma; i finti mattoni proseguono verso l’alto a definire gli spigoli dell’edificio e circondano le aperture rette.

Nei campi sono dipinti dischi giallo-oro su tralci stilizzati. Sotto il tetto corre una fascia azzurra con cerchi, in cui sono iscritti elementi vegetali collegati da nastri ocra; più complesso il disegno nella cuspide del breve fronte sulla strada.”

Dal 2020 il villino è stato trasformato in struttura ricettiva.
